When Should I Buy My Flights?
When it comes to buying flights, one of the biggest things that we often worry about is the PRICE.
This is why we’re always on the lookout for the best dates to fly, right?
But, in my opinion, If there’s any concern that every traveler SHOULDN'T have to have, it's this. You waste SO much time playing the guessing game and tracking flight prices...only to find they just keep going up and up!

When should you buy your tickets?
The problem with buying flights is that prices fluctuate daily. And I've found even HOURLY!
In just a few span of days or a week, the price could go up hundreds of dollars rather quickly.
True story:
One of my client’s waited a week to book after I prepared their quotes for them... and the price went up $300 for them in that time!
Things like that could happen when you don't know how to plan and buy...that's where a travel expert comes in.
Here's what I suggest:
First thing’s first. Before you plan any trip at all, regardless of where you’re going, set a budget first and be comfortable spending the whole budget.
Yup. SPEND IT ALL.
Once you’re in that position, these are the things that you need to keep in mind:
---> Don’t start planning until you’re ready to put a deposit down. When the prices change, your itinerary is also going to change if you HAVE to stay at a certain dollar amount. You'll miss out by waiting too long.
To have the required booking deposit ready, I'd say to expect anywhere from $500 to half of the amount of the trip as a good start.
If you have a travel protection, your deposit can also go down and your travel agent will be a good resource for how to make that happen. But usually, it will be half or less depending on how far out you are booking.
---> You also have to prepared to spend the ENTIRE budget. That way, when you find the package that you like and it fits into that budget, you can book it right away. Don’t wait for it to go down $50 before you do so. Although it’s understandable that you want to save money, you have to also realize that it could also go up at anytime and you will lose your chances to get your ideal package at that rate.
